We’re looking for a travel consultant to assist with leisure and business travel enquiries as well as administration and offer an extremely high level of customer service throughout

As a Travel Agent supporting one of our high performing Travel Counsellors, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless travel experiences for their clients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Travel Counsellor in all aspects of the booking process, from initial inquiries to finalising travel arrangements.

You'll leverage your expertise in the travel industry to provide comprehensive support, contributing to the overall success of the business.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Client Communication**: Act as a liaison between clients and the Travel Counsellor, responding to enquiries, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the booking process.

2. **Travel Planning**: Collaborate with the Travel Counsellor to plan and organise travel itineraries tailored to clients' preferences, including flights, accommodations and activities.

3. **Booking Management**: Assist in booking flights, hotels, car rentals and other travel services using reservation systems and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.

4. **Documentation and Administration**: Handle documentation such as passports, visas, insurance, and other travel-related paperwork, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements.

5. **Destination Knowledge**: Stay updated on travel trends, destinations, and industry developments to offer informed recommendations and advice to clients.

6. **Problem Resolution**: Address any issues or discrepancies related to bookings promptly and effectively, striving to provide satisfactory solutions to clients' concerns.

7. **Sales Support**: Support the Travel Counsellor in promoting travel packages, special offers, and upselling additional services to enhance the travel experience and increase revenue.

8. **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with the Travel Counsellor and other team members to streamline processes, share insights, and foster a positive working environment.

9. **Client Follow-Up**: Conduct post-travel follow-up with clients to gather feedback, address any post-travel issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.

10. **Adherence to Policies and Procedures**: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain compliance and uphold the agency's reputation for professionalism and integrity.

**Skills/ knowledge**
- Previous experience in the travel industry, preferably in a support role or similar capacity but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure, no two days are ever the same
- Passion for travel and a desire to provide exceptional service to clients.
