**Job Description**:

- Position: Post Room Operative Location: St Pancras, London Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of Permanent Role) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:30 (On-site)
- Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process and distribute incoming mail and parcels.- Handle outgoing mail and parcels seamlessly.- Facilitate the distribution of book containers to designated reading rooms.- Undertake general porter tasks with precision.- Prepare and arrange meeting rooms to the highest standards.Main Tasks:
- Receive and manage both internal and external mail.- Date stamp incoming letters for organization and tracking.- Systematically sort and distribute mail and parcels to designated areas.- Collect outgoing items from various floors and ensure timely processing.- Conduct bulk mailings on behalf of library departments when required.- Maintain accurate records of outgoing mail for tracking purposes.- Set up meeting rooms, ensuring all AV equipment is operational.- Utilize computerized tracking systems for incoming packages.- Assist with loading/unloading Library inter-building transport vans.- Distribute stationery supplies and bottled water efficiently.- Perform other Porter tasks as necessary to support operations.- Maintain daily statistics for operational analysis.Minimum Requirements (Essential):
- Proficient in numeracy and literacy.- Strong communication skills.- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.- Flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt.- Self-motivated team player.- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.- Ability to lift packages to 20 kilograms.Additional Requirements (Desirable):
