The successful applicant will be an integral andactive member of this team.The CPFT Speech and Language Therapy Team are looking for enthusiastic Band 6 and Band 7 therapists to work in the Peterborough area primarily providing support on a domiciliary basis to older people referred with acquired communicationand swallowing difficulties. This post will include supporting and developing our work in nursing and residential homes and some support for referrals from our mental health wards.This is a fantastic opportunity for a therapist who is independent in dysphagiamanagement with sound clinical knowledge to develop collaborative working with colleagues within the Trust and local community. The successful candidate will join our friendly Speech and Language Therapy team with base of Sand martin house. Excellent workingrelationships exist with the community MDT teams and acute colleagues.You will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. We will provide the necessary support from highlyexperienced therapists to ensure your development within the role and would also enable appropriate external training opportunities.Currently, due to Covid 19, ways of working within the team have changed. The post holder will be based at home initially butwill have access to an office base and clinic rooms if home working is not possible. Appointments with patients are via video where possible, but home visits are being offered where this is required.
