Acorn is currently working with their client to recruit a Payroll Support. In this role, you'll provide support to the payroll function to process two monthly payrolls, for an approximate total number of employees of 1,100.

Job title: Payroll Support

Location: RCN, HQ London (hybrid working required)

Duration: Temporary for 12 weeks

Hours: 35 hours per week

Equivalent annual salary: £37,872 (including London weighting)

Payroll experience: essential

Your key tasks as a Payroll Support:

- Processing RCN payrolls in an accurate and timely manner
- Make deductions from RCN payrolls, which includes Pension contributions, season ticket loans, GMB Contributions, Childcare vouchers, Simply Health, Gaye, Court orders, and make the necessary payments to the relevant organisations
- Processing of all transactions to an agreed timetable; all monthly payroll third-party submissions must be made accurately and in line with specific deadlines given
- Assist with the preparation of monthly payments to the Inland Revenue for Tax and National Insurance contributions and all information submissions / requests, both regular and ad hoc as required
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual pension contributions schedules to the scheme administrators
- Reconciliation of payroll control accounts in line with the Finance Department's monthly timetable; any reconciling items must be resolved in a timely manner
- Assist with the submission of FPS & EPS returns after each payroll run
- Assist in the preparation of PSA submissions for RCN and RCNi as directed by the Payroll Manager
- Provide information required for internal and external audits in required formats in a timely manner
- Liaise closely with the People & OD team to ensure that all the necessary data is processed in each payroll run and provide support to People & OD with any enquires and information that they may require
- Provide information and advice to RCN staff with regards to all aspects of their salary
- Provide and assist, all business reporting to the finance
