**Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a member of staff to perform the roles of both a part-time Teaching Assistant and MDSA,**

**based at Greentrees Primary School on permanent contract.**

**Hours**:
**TA - 19.5 hours per week**

**9.00am - 12.00noon and 1.30pm to 3.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday**

**9.00am - 12.00noon Tuesday and Thursday**

**Salary range**:

Greentrees Primary School is a two site two form entry Primary School with a 12 place Resource Base. The school is situated on the outskirts of Salisbury. The school was judged as Outstanding in its last inspection in March 2015. The school has strong international links and has an enquiry led skills based broad and balanced curriculum. The school prides itself on its behaviour. It is also committed to teaching children how they learn as well as the content of the curriculum. The school uses Guy Claxton’s 4 Rs of Learning and Carol Dweck’s Growth Mindset model to achieve this

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Duties will include:

- Supporting pupils learning, either in groups in the classroom or through 1:1 work with specific children with additional needs. The exact tasks will depend on the learning support needs of the pupil/s
- Supporting pupils self-esteem, inclusion and behavioural development
- Provide physical/personal care to pupils where required
- Supporting the teacher/s
- Supporting the curriculum - Support the delivery of the English and Mathematics curriculum along with other aspects of both the National Curriculum and the enhanced curriculum offered by the school.
- Support the school e.g. assisting with setting up, storing and retrieving and general maintenance of classroom equipment and teaching aids.
- As well as classroom support, you will be required to work with children with specific needs.

The role also involves supervising our children during their lunchtime break, both in the dining hall

and in the playground. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the life of a primary school.

Duties will include the supervision of pupils, either in the lunch hall or other areas in the school, whilst they are eating lunch or taking part in lunchtime activities. Associated duties will include clearing and cleaning of dining hall and equipment including light manual handling.
