I have an opportunity for someone with around 2 years payroll experience to join our team as a Payroll Officer. You will be joining a friendly and close-knit team of payroll specialists who cover the payroll for the group of companies on a global basis. Working in a busy environment you will be responsible for all payroll and payroll administration within your region.

Our offices are based in Newcastle upon Tyne, close to Central Station, and once fully trained there will be flexibility for hybrid working.

As Payroll Officer you will work independently, ensuring responsibility for all Payroll administration for your region, and that all data within your Payroll has been processed correctly and accurately in line with the set KPI’s. You will be the 'go to person' for all queries within your payroll region. You will also have the opportunity to learn other areas of payroll and payroll for our global employees too, so this is ideal if you enjoy learning and want to take on more responsibilities.

We are always looking to improve processes, and so you will work closely with the Payroll Manager and other team members to help implement new processes/validations in order to increase efficiency and accuracy.

**As Payroll Officer with us, you will be responsible for**:

- Overseeing, validating and processing all Payroll data for all individual Payrolls.
- Communicating with external Payroll providers to ensure all Payrolls are processed correctly and are compliant.
- Processing bank payments for monthly, bi-weekly & 4-weekly Payrolls, third party payments and weekly manual pay runs.
- Ensuring all Third Party payments and submissions are processed on time.
- Creating & upkeeping Process Guides for all Payroll processing tasks and auditing these regularly.
- Ensuring all overpayments are calculated correctly, logged and chased within the agreed timeframes and processing the necessary corrections through the Payrolls.

**We are looking for someone with the following experience**:

- Ideally have around 2 years Payroll experience
- We are looking for someone who is highly organised and can multi-task, as sometimes priorities can change
- You will need to be highly accurate, and able to process your payroll within the timeframes
- Team player - we work as a team and like to help each other out when needed
- CIPP qualification would be nice to have, but not essential
