Housing Allocations Officer x 2 posts 3 months with potential extension.

JT Recruit are currently looking for x2 experienced housing allocations officers to support a local authority in Northampton, this is a full time position for 3 months with a potential of extension to provide comprehensive housing advice and information to households in housing need.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days office based and expectation to work from various office locations-Northampton, Towcester & Daventry

**Responsibilities will include-**

Ensure that investigations are robust and verification of all housing register applicants’ circumstances are completed in accordance with the agreed policy and procedures.

Work with other Council departments and external voluntary and statutory bodies to identify housing need and ensure that the Council’s Housing Allocations Policy is applied correctly to meet need. Key stakeholders include Children’s Trust, Adult Social Care, Probation and Police.

Actively challenge and seek to eliminate any directly or indirectly discriminatory practice or behaviours.

Demonstrate awareness and understanding of other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs and ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons
