Job description

**Permanent, full time**

You will have the opportunity to join our academic research community through membership of our inter-disciplinary research centres, the Applied Criminology and Policing Centre (ACPC) and the Secure Societies Institute (SSI). We will support you to build your research profile and engage in a broad range of special research interest groups. We are also committed to supporting staff to engage in continuing professional development and have a large range of courses and programmes designed to support you in your role, career development and wellbeing.

You will be able to demonstrate that you can appropriately support students through a range of methods and strategies to ensure a high quality learning experience, supporting the team in activities such as outreach, admissions, personal academic tutoring and course developments. A doctoral qualification or be nearing completion (normally within 6 months of completion) in a relevant area is an essential requirement for this role.
