The main purpose of this post is to support the BRC Operations Manager and BRC Core team in the administration and delivery of the NIHR Sheffield Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).

The Research Administrator will provide key administrative support across study coordination, PPIE activities and the BRC Training Academy.
- Helping to create a culture for the NIHR BRC underpinned by an ethos of continuous improvement
- Promoting the BRC through own actions and visibility in the NIHR BRC and with key internal and external partners
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the BRC and wider STHFT and UoS to facilitate the achievement of objectives and shared learning.

The post holder will assist the BRC Operations Manager, Training and Communications Coordinator & PPIE Officer in the administration of the delivery of the key objectives of the BRC.

Assist the BRC Operations Manager with administration of NIHR reporting.

Assist with administration of internal and external meetings.

Assist the Communications Coordinator and PPIE Officer with administration of social media, website and other communication tools for the BRC.

Assist the PPIE Officer with administration for PPI activities

Assist the Training and Communications Coordinator with administration of the BRC Training Academy.

Assist with arranging internal and external events.

Assist BRC Project Managers and Project Coordinators with study set-up activity.

Provide administrative support for the BRC team as required.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis until 30/11/2027 due to the post being externally funded. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the ongoing source of the external funding and the requirement for the post to be maintained.
