We are delighted to be supporting a highly reputable Scottish based firm recruit an Accounts Assistant to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

If you offer experience working within an accountancy practice, have experience in preparation and financial accounting whilst seeking a new opportunity which offers variety, development and long term progression, we would love to hear from you

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Complete bookkeeping on a monthly and quarterly basis using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for a variety of clients across a range of sectors
- Liaise with clients when required
- Preparation of VAT return
- Prepare annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and independent examination for charities
- Establish a professional and confident working relationship with clients, supporting them with any queries and escalating them if needed
- Additional adhoc tasks when required
- Provide general administrative support and assistance to the wider team

**To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, our client does require the following background / experience**:

- Background working within an Accountancy Practice
- HND, AAT or ACCA part qualified or equivalent
- Strong numerical and data analysis skills
- Organised and committed to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Client drive with good business acumen
- Experience using accounting software
