**About the Role
- Autism Support Assistant**

This mixed mainstream primary school are looking for talented and ambitious individuals with a background working with Autism to join their specialist Autism Provision for students aged 11-18 years old. You will be working with students with Autism of mixedability on a 1-1 or small group basis to help students with additional needs access quality education. The schoolmakes use of specialist communication methods such as PECS and makaton to help communicate with students with speech and language communicationdifficulties so prior experience using these is highly desireable for the role. Individuals from backgrounds such as Support Workers, SEN Teaching Assistants, and those with personal experience are encouraged to apply. This will be a full-time role Monday-Fridayduring term time.

This mixed mainstream secondary school is based inHillingdon, servicing over 1000 students, with a small resource provision for 12 students with Autism. Students are encouraged to engage with mainstream lessons in order to inegrate with their peers and areeably supported by their Support Assistants to do so.
