Full Time Position

We are currently seeking a professional and well-presented individual with experience working in a clinical or in a similar front-of-house role for a Medical Receptionist/Administrator position. We are a busy GP surgery based in Wandsworth.

Medical Receptionist experience preferred. Have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally. Should have good Organisational skills and time management skills. Be able to work under pressure and on their own initiative. Have experience using EMIS-WEB.

CANDIDATES WITH Emis Web EXPERIENCE would be preferable. Immediate start available.

**Salary**: £10.75 per hour

**Experience**:

- Medical Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Well-presented, confident, punctual, reliable, intuitive.
- Act in professional, friendly, polite and positive manner with clients at all times.
- Able to maintain confidentiality, professionalism and attention to detail.
- A strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to deal with complex issues fast and efficiently putting clients first at all times.
- Experience working in a CQC environment (Desirable).

**Full Job Description**

**Duties**:

- Greet, receive and direct patients.
- Give completed prescriptions to patients, checking the name and address.
- Deal with general telephone enquiries.
- Process appointment requests by patients, both in person and over the telephone.
- Record messages for staff, including doctors and nurses.
- Record requests for home visits and repeat prescriptions.
- Extract patient files for surgeries, house calls and routine enquiries.
- Input patient information on computer, including under templates.
- Be able to navigate correctly on Emis Web
- Have a working knowledge of the telephone system, during and after hours.
- Attending weekly briefings

**Experience required**:

- Ideally, previous medical reception experience
- Excellent administration and communication skills
- Problem solver
- Ability to show patience, empathy and diplomacy when required and to be able to work under pressure.
