Every year they deliver integral support to individuals, RAF Stations and Sports Associationsthrough their grant funding programmes to enhance their time whilst serving. Ultimately, they want everyone regardless of their role, rank, physical ability or competing level to have access to sports facilities, equipment and training.

**Job title**: Finance Administrator

**Location**: Hybrid - working from home and the Fund’s offices in Buckinghamshire

**Hours**: 25-30 hours a week

**Salary**: £24,000 pro-rata plus benefits

**Key purpose**:
Working as a member of a small team, the Finance Administrator will work closely with the Finance Manager to provide financial support to the organisation.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ensure the accurate input and maintenance of the financial records on Auto-Entry and SAGE for the Fund and Trading Subsidiary
- Provide financial administrative support including the processing of all receipts, payments and expenses including the preliminary review of authorisation of expenditure by budget holders
- To act as an administrator of the bank account and processor of bank payments
- Act as a primary point of contact for account or payment queries from suppliers, grant recipients or other third parties as required
- Assist with the input of journal entries and reconcile prepayment, accrual and deferred accounts
- Reconcile, on a monthly basis, trade debtors and creditors
- Raise sales and intercompany invoices and ensure intercompany accounts balance
- Assist with the formulation and implementation of finance policies and procedures
- Assist with the production of year-end accounts as well as financial information as deemed required to manage the charity
- To assist with compliance to all statutory responsibilities including filing with the Gambling Commission
- To provide external auditors with such assistance and information they may reasonably require in the conduct of their annual audit
- Ensure compliance with the Fund’s policies and procedures in all aspects of work
- Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required in support of the Fund’s objectives as required and any other duties as may be identified by the Finance Manager

**Person Specification**:

- Experience in the use of multiple software platforms including SAGE
- Experience of maintaining accounting ledgers
- Assisting with the production of management accounts
- Processing of bank payments and receipts via online banking systems
- IT software skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Well organised, efficient and accurate
- Able to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information
- Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload against deadlines and agreed timetables
- Ability to maintain controls within the organisation to ensure financial probity
- Ability to work independently with mínimal time management
- Willing to be flexible with hours
- Dependable and reliable, able to keep calm and productive under pressure
