We’re looking for people who are interested in growing their careers with us. To be successful in this role you’ll need proven experience of performing bank reconciliations along with commercial awareness skills and the ability to assess financial data and use your initiative to recommend any corrective actions.
As our new Accounts Assistant at Wescot, you will be performing a high volume of bank reconciliations as well as building and maintaining relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues across the business. You’ll be based at our offices in Hull city centre.
In this rewarding role we’ll support you to use your expertise in accounts to support our finance function deliver the best service to our clients. Your new role will involve you carrying out the following duties:
- Processing of purchase ledger invoices for suppliers
- Maintaining accruals schedules for month end accruals
- Produce monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Obtain and manage invoice approval sign off process
- Produce and optimize aged creditors reports
- Prepare payment runs for suppliers in line with credit terms
- Maintain prepayments listings for accruals purposes at month end.
- Processing of staff expense forms and settlement of funds associated with these.
- Managing credit card system and processes.
- Processing credit card expense journals
- Preparing month end expense reconciliations
- Prepare and circulate expenditure reports
- Maintaining Capex register after all approvals are received in line with Company Policy and depreciation journals
- Working with facilities to physical assets are tagged with location and support audits
- Preparing GL reconciliations
- Preparing and support monthly VAT submissions for AP side
- ESOS and SECR reporting
- Assist with annual financial audit requirements
