Accounts Assistant

Our client is a privately owned Truck dealership group in the UK.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen at their Head Office in Hull (HU7) for a Accounts Assistant.
You will be required to support the accounts team to maintain an efficient and accurate finance function including basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers and running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct.
Main Duties:
- To receive and process all invoices and requests for payment.
- To verify calculations with the Accounts system including direct debits.
- To reconcile finance accounts, maintaining spreadsheet and cash allocation.
- Preparing statutory accounts, handling and writing cheques.
- To deal with queries from internal and external customers.
- To maintain a high level of competence for the work to be undertaking by continuous professional development (CPD) by training, reading technical bulletins etc.
- To ensure professionalism and quality are maintained at all times in particular with customers and suppliers.
- To assist managers with the introduction of new methods, designed or implicated to improve efficiency.
- To ensure the care, maintenance and safekeeping of all tools, equipment and materials used and report any defects found.
Monday - Friday
8.30am - 17:00
(1 hour lunch)
**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
