**The role**:
Working within the School of Physics, this exciting new role will be the key driver in implementing and actioning our Climate Action Plan and getting us ready to achieve a better status with LEAF. You will be working within a large technical team that overseas a variety of different labs which are involved in a range of research areas within Physics. Reporting to the School Safety Officer, this role will be pivotal in shaping our future approach to sustainability.

**What will you be doing?**:
You will be working closely with the central Sustainability Team to ensure that the work we do for both the Climate Action Plans and for LEAF are worthwhile activities for us in the school not just box ticking activities (e.g. by challenging some current approaches). You will be Investigating ways of sustainably disposing of unused filing cabinets and exploring ways of sustainably disposing of old and unused lab equipment. As well as this, you will be working with Sustainability Champions (previous and current) to promote CAP achievements to date (e.g. via School websites and display screens around campus).

You enjoy working within a laboratory setting and helping implement change for the purpose's sustainability and green impact. You wish to be a key part in changing the way we operate and making sure the approach is not only feasible but also sustainable in the long term. This role is ideal for someone who wishes to make a genuine change that will be visible at all levels of the schools operations.
