Barnton Pharmacy is a well established Independant Community Pharmacy providing NHS prescriptions and services as well as Private services for over 13 years.
We are looking for a hard working qualified Pharmacy Retail Assistant with excellent customer service and communication skills to join our award winning Pharmacy team after the summer to help us look after the healthcare needs of Barnton and Surrounding areas.
The position is part time but must be available for at least 2 full days plus at least alternative Saturday Mornings 9-1
You will be expected to work on the retail counter and retail areas of the pharmacy and work along with Pharmacists, Trainee Pharmacist, Accuracy Checking Technician, Trainee Technician and fantastic Dispensing support staff. Pay will depend on age, experience and qualifications.
This role will involve the following and more:
- punctuality
- using initiative
- working in a team under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and Technicians.
- Booking patients in for Travel consultations and ear wax removel appointments
- handling cash
- speaking to the public in person and on the phone
- Pharmacy first consultations and referral to pharmacist when needed
- selling medicines and handing out prescriptions safely with advice to patients on the correct use
- giving advice on general health and lifestyle matters
- working with Trainees at all levels: Pharmacy students, Pharmacists, Technicians and Dispensers.
Starting rate of pay of £10.50 is for those over 21 years old and increases with qualifications gained.
