**Who are we looking for?**
We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Strategic People Business Partner who will work in partnership with directors, managers, People colleagues and key stakeholders to develop and shape the people agenda, delivering people plans and solutionsin line with the needs and priorities of the programmes/departments they support.
You will have excellent people skills, including coaching and developing others. Your ability create a culture where challenging the status quo is encouraged will be a key factor to succeed in this role. This is also a great opportunity to use your strong interpersonaland influencing skills to work with senior stakeholders in the organisation.
**What will you be responsible for?**
As a Strategic HR/People Business Partner you will have in-depth knowledge of Employment Law and HR practices with a solid track record in managing / advising on complex / sensitive legal issues. Your main responsibilities may include:

- Fulfilling the role of the people expert, they advise colleagues and managers by providing guidance on people management and development, leveraging the expertise of colleagues in the People Department to the benefit of the departments/programmes they support.
- Operating as a member of the department/programme Senior Management Team, they identify key people issues at an early stage and work pro-actively to develop strategies to address them.
- Responsibility for managing and supporting strategic projects covering resourcing, defining goals and values, employee engagement projects, talent management and development.
- Supporting change management, organisational design and development projects for the department/programme, ensuring coherence and consistency with the broader UKAEA people agenda.
**Qualifications**
**Essential skills, experience and competence required**:

- Extensive experience of business partnering at a strategic level in a complex environment
- Experience of advising on EDI, Pay and Reward, OD, ER and L&D
- Experience of developing strategic priorities and using those priorities to enable culture change
- Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
- CIPD qualified to L7 or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Highly developed influencing skills combined with the ability to manage a challenging and diverse workforce
- Possess excellent leadership and communication skills
- Excellent collaborator with a growth mindset
- Strong business acumen and understanding of how to build organisations in which talent thrives and everyone is included.
- Strong skills in leading change, project management & building relationships.
