We have a vacancy for a Life Skills Support Workers to join our existing team at Beechcroft House in Westwoodside, Doncaster.

**Overview**:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Support Workers to join our team. As a Life Skills Support Worker, you will provide essential care, support and assistance to individuals in need. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal care and support to the individuals within the home
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and manage behaviours of individuals with complex needs
- Implement behaviour management strategies as directed by management
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Accompany individuals to appointments or social outings as needed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care

**What we need from you**:
Firstly, you do not need experience to join our team, however, this will include lots of mandatory training, a recognised qualification within the first 12 weeks of employment and enrolment on to further nationally accredited vocational qualifications.
You will be assigned a mentor, who has undertaken peer mentor training, so that they are best equipped to support you during the early days (and then on) of your employment. You will also receive as many hours shadowing as necessary to ensure you are comfortable and confident to work alone. Excellent English language skills are essential.

**It is essential that you**:

- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain records.
- Are forward thinking, enthusiastic, able to use your own initiative and have excellent personal management and organisational skills.
- Are able to focus on the task in hand with good attention to detail.
- Can demonstrate reliability and flexibility.
- The ability to manage challenging behaviours, should they arise.
- The ability to demonstrate excellent English language skills.

**In return we offer**:

- Enhanced rates of pay on Good Friday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day

- Attendance bonus - this will run from 1st April to 31st March and will be paid to all employees who do not have any sick leave during that financial year, the bonus is £200.
