fdu is recruiting an Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to build an FP&A function for our PE backed client as part of their expansion strategy.
Our client is a private equity backed business entering the next phase of their growth / evolution. To enhance their commercial finance capabilities, they need to recruit a high performing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager with demonstrable experienceof implementing best practice into an FP&A function.
Key responsibilities:
- Owning the budgeting, forecasting and business planning process. Establishing appropriate inputs/outputs, timetables, and necessary levels of analysis to clearly 'tell the story’, to enable informed decisions to be made by the business. Migrate the budgetingand forecasting function from Excel to SAP
- Finance Business Partner to senior management. Playing a key role in ensuring that these key stakeholders achieve their targets.
- Financial modelling and analysis. Building and maintaining detailed cash flow models for the business to analyse shareholder returns, IRRs, scenario analysis, exit valuation and capital structure options.
- Helping the CFO when raising further funding (debt or equity) as required to deliver business plan targets.
Your profile:
- Academically strong. A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with an anticipated 2-6 years PQE, depending upon your growth trajectory and career to date.
- Well trained in accounting, with strong FP&A experience - managing budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles; this experience will have been gained in a mid/large cap environment where you have had exposure to financial best practice i.e., rolling budgetand forecast techniques.
- I anticipate that you will currently be employed in the FP&A function of a large business but feel restricted / frustrated by the level of bureaucracy and want to work in more entrepreneurial environment.
- Financial modelling experience, the ability to build financial models in Excel.
- Process improvement, through the utilisation of an ERP system (SAP S4/Hana would be advantageous).
- Experience in Corporate Finance i.e., having been employed in the Transaction Services arm of a Consultancy / involved in Corporate Finance activity would be advantageous.
My client operate a hybrid working model: 2-3 days per week in their Central London office.
