General Motors Financial (GMF) is looking for an experienced finance lead to support General Motors (GM) and GMF's re-entry into the European market; The successful candidate will partner with GM and internal stakeholders to build and provide strategic direction on all aspects needed to deliver a full-service captive finance solution to our customers. The Finance Director will oversee all aspects of the financial operations of the GMF European business including financial planning, accounting, pricing support, and legal and managerial reporting
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent area of study or work experience required
~ Master's Degree in Finance or MBA preferred
~5-10 years in finance services or banking experience required
~5-10 years analytics and financial reporting experience required
~Advanced knowledge in all areas of forecasting, accounting, and reporting on a financial services business
~ Advanced knowledge of management processes such as planning, budgeting and financial analysis
~ Proven skills in spreadsheet modeling and ability to operate in a banking/corporate environment
~ Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
~ Oversee all aspects of finance including FP&A, financial reporting, controllership, tax, and treasury
Deliver strategic financial advice to GM, banking partners, and GMF leadership, be responsible for interpretation of financial results and develop financial strategy
Analyze and report on financial data and KPIs
Prepare cadenced financial packages for all internal audiences
Participate in the oversight and management of banking partners
Support central accounting in preparation of financial statements and GAAP reporting
Conform with all company policies and procedures
