If so, Unitech Engineering Limited based in Burntwood, Staffordshire are looking for a **Trainee Sheet Metal Worker.** The Company itself, are the leading manufacturers of high-quality stainless steel and aluminium equipment for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries.

**Role Overview**:
Reporting directly to the Sheetmetal Foreman, this role is responsible for manufacturing components and fabrications used in the companies Stainless Steel Commercial and Industrial Catering Equipment offering. Other duties are outlined below:
**Main duties will include**:
During your training period you will learn to:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Set up and use a guillotine, punch press, brake press and other workshop machinery. You will also carry out deburring.
- Assemble components by mechanical means other than welding.
- Use hand tools and semi-automatic deburring equipment.
- Maintain and ensure equipment is safe, clean and in good working order, reporting any defaults that may arise.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to Health and Safety procedures and policies at all times.
- Any other duties commensurate within this position and skill set required.

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Experience of working on a shop floor environment, (ideally within sheet metal) would be advantage, although full training will be given to the successful applicant.
- Must be flexible to meeting the production demands of the business
- Be able to meet reasonable time scales for the work required.
- Have the ability to work within a team.
- Pay attention to detail and quality.
- Possess the ability to multi task

- Salary for this role will be in line with the National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage requirements.
- Full time, permanent contract.
- 28 days holiday (inclusive of annual, bank/public days) increasing with service.
