**Accounts Receivable Assistant**

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our Finance team.

You will be expected to work a full-time position of 40 Hours Per week Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all sales and cash takings received from our 63 centres, are correctly reconciled and reported on.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure all operating centres honour weekly deadlines for cash sheet submissions.
- Reconcile cash sheets to the fidelity system, investigating and resolving any differences in real time.
- Ensure completeness of petty cash submissions and ensure journals are posted in line with deadlines.
- Reconcile and distribute HTA (Horticultural Trades Association) vouchers.
- Summary reporting on, petty cash and vouchers.
- Ability to meet deadlines and take ownership and responsibility for workload.
- Ensure strict adherence to month end close.
- Build great relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Undertaking any other ad work as requested by senior members of the finance team.
- Structured approach to cash collection and following up on overdue payments.
- Working closely with the Credit Control and Billing Officer.
- A desire to persistently maintain a high quality of accurate output.

**Knowledge/Skill/Experience**
- Detailed knowledge and use of EPOS cash systems or similar, processes and controls.
- Proactive and dynamic approach to challenge the status quo.
- Experience in providing guidance and support to system users.
- Excellent eye for detail and the ability to consider and raise wider issues while retaining ownership until a workable resolution is agreed.
- Exceptionally organised, with a logical and methodical skill set and comfortable with maintaining spreadsheets.
- Strong intellect and a pragmatic approach to business excellence.
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- A clear communicator who presents a business professional manner at all times.
- Real team player who is happy ‘to get stuck in’ with a sense of humour.
