**The Role**:
Assisting with planning the deliveries and collections within our postcode areas which include 30 of the B, CV, WS areas, managing drivers.

**Main duties will include**:

- Day to day planning using our TMS for the 10 - 12 Palletline vehicles
- Communication with the early morning general delivery drivers ensuring that they understand their days work, you will be trained to use the Digi card download to ensure that compliance is met for visiting agency drivers.
- Communicating with the C&D drivers clearly throughout the day.
- Liaising with our warehouse staff on site to ensure that all freight is loaded onto the correct trunk trailers.
- Communicating through out the day with other palletline members of any issues that may arise
- Issuing collections in a timely manner to the C&D drivers using our TMS
- Dealing with customers queries when they arise and communicating back to them with a solution
- Communicating and working closely with the afternoon shift Palletline planner to ensure that all deliveries and collections are made.
- Ensuring that our KPI’s are kept to the high standard that the company work to, and should KPI’s fall being able to identify the reason and offer a resolve.
- Periodic visual inspections of vehicles and any damage reported to a manager
- Being aware of Health and Safety responsibilities as well as monitoring and enforcing all safe systems of work for drivers to follow. Ensuring that any agency / new drivers are briefed in the safe use of the use of pallet trucks and the operation of tail lifts.

**Hours of work**:

- Monday to Friday 05.30am - 15.00pm with a 30 minute lunch break

**The Person**

To be self motivated, attention to detail and a professional approach to work is essential. The ability to keep calm and organised under pressure, and have excellent communication and team work skills. A good general knowledge of the postcodes that we cover would be useful but not essential as the TMS that we use assists the planner. A good knowledge of Microsoft products would be advantageous.

**Job Type**:

- Permanent
- Salary: 26,500.00 to 29,000.00 GBP per annum depending on experience paid either weekly or monthly.
- Holiday allowance 28 days p/a including Bank holidays pro rata
- Benefits, on site parking, casual dress

Full training would be provided in the use of both TMS systems and continued support throughout.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
