**Manufacturing Production Director**

**£50,000 Negotiable**

**Dudley**

**Permanent**

**Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm**

The Overall responsibility for the development performance and maintenance of all of the production of the organisation to produce smooth and efficient production and delivery solution, maximising performance & profitability against company targets and budgets.

**Production Director Responsibilities**
- Direct and monitor the overall performance of production to increase efficiency and maximise performance and profit
- Overseeing the workforce in the production department
- Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees
- Reporting (content and format as agreed) monthly or as otherwise required
- Developing plans for team and organisation activities to include strategy to achieve targets, Implementing KPI's
- Delegate authority and responsibility to the team. Direct, manage and maintain contact with internal and external clients/customers
- Set an example for team members and organisation as a whole of commitment, work ethics and habits and personal character
- Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel
- Managing and evaluating resources to ensure productivity and mínimal downtime
- Control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls
- Communicating any problems or obstacles to other senior management team members
- Establishing workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
- Working with production team to manage production workflow, schedule and quality ensuring that final product/s meets quality standards and customer specifications.
- Interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation, its suppliers and clients/customers
- Having a good understanding customer requirement and accordingly prepare production plan
- Working with management to oversee the preparation of production proposals, and pitches.
- adhere to all organisation policies and procedures

**Skills and qualifications**
- Experience in production management and control at a Senior level.
- Experience in a supervisory capacity
- Project Management Skills
- Excellent leadership with ability to drive a team.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental regulations
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
