Sterilization Operative

We are currently recruiting for 3 x Sterilization Operative based out of Chesterfield Royal Hospital in the Decontamination Unit.

**Hours of work**

Monday to Friday

Rotating on the below shift each week:

- Week 1 - 7am to 3pm
- Week 2 - 12pm to 8pm
- 37.5 hours per week
- You will be required to work 1 in 6 Saturday and 1 bank holiday per year
- If you do work a Saturday you will get 1 day off bank in the week.

**Pay**:

- £9.80 per hour (£19,110 per annum)

**Job description**:

- You will be working in the decontamination unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The department will receive used surgical equipment from the hospitals departments to sterile
- You will be putting the equipment onto trays and placing them into sterilization units
- You will be working on a computer to do basic admin
- You will be checking and sealing the equipment once they have been sterilized

**IMPORTANT HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION**
- YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR FULL PPE IN THIS POSITION - ALL PPE WILL BE PROVIDED
- YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO BE HEPATITIS B VACCINATED FOR THIS POSITION, IF NOT THE HOSPITAL WILL PROVIDE THE VACCINE.
- DUE TO THE NATURE OF WORK, IT IS ESSENTIAL YOU ARE VACCINATED FOR HEPATITIS B FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS

**Experience**:
**There is no direct work experience required, however some related experience is essential.**
- Computer Literate
- Due to the nature of work there may be bodily fluids on the equipment - ideally you will have a strong stomach
- Great Attention to details
- Happy to be on their feet all day.
