**SCOPE & GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB**:
To ensure the smooth and efficient running of reception, to have a strong yield management focus for the hotel whilst managing the reception team to ensure the highest of standards are continually achieved by exceeding guest satisfaction at every opportunity.

**Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage reception team to achieve their highest level of performance whilst encouraging development and providing training. Manage weekly rostering and reception recruitment.
- Develop and oversee processes and procedures such as Standard Operating Procedures.
- To continuously exceed customer expectations, always exceeding their needs and requirements.
- Ensure safe and secure working practices regarding the handling of cash, keys, and guest belongings.
- Ensure that you have an in-depth knowledge of your department product, being aware of the hotel facilities and have excellent local knowledge of the area satisfying guest(s) enquiries.
- To continuously promote sales within reception and across the hotel, up-selling at every opportunity.
- To deal with any guest’s complaints in a professional manner - logging, recording & following-up.
- To ensure all reservations are taken accurately, recording relevant details to ensure accurateness for billing purposes.
- Continually monitor and review room sales techniques and room sales opportunities, maximising revenue opportunities.
- Attend weekly meetings to report on reception performance, provide weekly stat reports.
- Personally support reception during key hours including lunch breaks by providing hands-on support.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
