Road to Logistics are a Community Interest Company, working to tackle talent shortage in the logistics sector. We do this by offering fully-funded training to individuals who face barriers to employment, such as people with neuro-diverse conditions, ex-offenders, long-term unemployed, veterans and people from poor socio-economic backgrounds. We are also looking at improving the numbers of women and BAME groups working in the sector, through offering more flexible ways of working.

Our name is catching on, but we need some support in making us even more visible to employers and potential trainees alike.

That’s where you come in

Our Marketing Trainee will be responsible for:

- Create and manage social media channels to include:

- Facebook
- LinkedIn
- Twitter
- Instagram
- Tiktok
- Keep up-to-date on all new platforms that may be available and appropriate for RtL use
- Create content for social media, scheduling daily posts across all channels.
- Website management
- Ensure website is kept up-to-date
- Link to various social media platforms
- Marketing Literature
- Creation of case-studies for each programme
- Interview trainees, employers, funding partners and RtL colleagues where appropriate to gather all necessary information.
- Identify opportunities to raise profile of Road to Logistics to include:

- Trade Fairs
- Job Fairs
- Graduate Careers events
- Conferences
- Create tools to record, monitor and evaluate success of our marketing activities
- Close liaison with RtL members to understand activities that may be marketing worthy
- Attend training, meetings and events to record activity to use in future marketing

**Experience / Skills Required**
- A good understanding of social media platforms
- Creative mind with the ability to understand what engaging content looks like, create content and post at optimum times
- Good interpersonal skills - able to liaise with different types of people at all levels
- Some experience of creative Apps such as Adobe Express, Photoshop, Hootsuite preferred but not essential
- Able to travel when necessary to attend events
- Willing to undertake relevant training through local college as part of the role

Vocational experience in marketing is not required, what we are looking for is someone with bags of enthusiasm, keen to learn and is excited about the prospect of making a difference to people’s lives.
