DegreeSix are a specialist Social Care agency working with outstanding Residential, Day Centres and Supported Living Services for Adults (Aged 18-65) with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Challenging Behaviours and Autism.

**Duties and Responsibilities of a Support Worker -**
- Maintaining a safe, clean and positive living environment for service users
- Understanding the importance of developing positive relationships with service users
- Medication requirements if necessary
- Multi-agency working with professionals
- Supporting with maintaining friends and family relationships
- Ensuring the correct safeguarding practices are followed
- Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
- Going out in the community on a variety of fun activities
- Promoting independence and support with daily life skills and tasks
- Knowledge of report writing and preparing documents
- Providing personal, domestic and emotional support, maintaining dignity and privacy at all times

**What you’ll need to register with DegreeSix -**
- Minimum of 3 months UK based Social Care experience (Essential)
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Online update service (Preferred - small charge if you require a new certificate)
- Full Driving Licence (Essential)

**Experience**:

- UK care based: 1 year (required)
- UK Social Care: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- UK Driving Licence (required)
- DBS certificate - registered on the online update service (preferred)
