Teaching Personnel are looking for full-time, permanent Teaching Assistants who love working with children. You will be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The School in Lymington, Hampshire is an Ofsted-registered "Good" independent specialist school that works with both boys and girls aged 7-19 years.

The purpose of the school is to prepare students for the demands of adult life through staff expertise and specialist approaches. This includes providing a nurturing and therapeutic environment that encourages students to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

School based experience is beneficial but no experience is needed, as full training is provided and is fully supported by an experienced and dedicated team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing support in class under the direction of the class teacher
  • Working alongside other staff to provide the best possible care
  • Able to work with groups or 1:1 support within the classroom
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs
  • Supervising pupil behaviour
  • Encourage, engage and support pupils with their learning & development.
  • Be able to work both within the school and off site to encourage and support their learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
