We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to manage our accounts payable processes and ensure the smooth operation of our financial transactions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process and record supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match purchase orders to invoices and delivery notes.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier account details.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to address queries and resolve disputes.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and journal entries.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar accounts payable role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software MS Office and particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
