**Cre8 Project Grow - Grocery Lead - Overview**:
Are you passionate about your local community and providing a food pantry, can you be a critical friend to evaluate and review our current project delivery with a view to making suggestions for a sustainable grocery over the coming months. Are you motivated and willing to join our team, with an immediate start.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Cre8 on our community-led Project Grow funded by the National Lottery. We are looking for a dynamic individual to help us manage and evaluate our successful Surplus Food Grocery.

The individual will be a strategic thinker with proven problem-solving skills. A passion for the cause, good communication and excellent inter-personal skills are also key.

The role will involving evaluating all aspects of this complex and dynamic project, providing recommendations for the future post 2024 funding. This person will manage our diverse group of highly committed, vibrant and motivated volunteers.

For the right person, this role is a great opportunity to lead the transfer of this project to full sustainability from Spring 2024.

The role is for 15 hours per week. Working days will ideally be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, although there may be some flexibility across those days.

Holidays are pro-rata based on full time allowance of 30 days a year inclusive of all bank/public holidays.

**The project** -Our Grocery was established in 2019 pre the Covid pandemic. Social distancing restrictions meant we had to pivot to a mobile Grocery - delivering to over 200 households per week. As the restrictions were lifted we now run four grocery sessions per week: Tuesday and Wednesday at St Barnabas Church on Lyme Avenue and two mobile pop-up grocery's on Thursdays at Green in the Corner Cafe in Hurdsfield and in Bollington, outside the Town Hall.

Our initial plan was to support 20 households. We are now regularly supporting over 200 per week. We reduce food waste by redistributing food that would otherwise find its way to landfill -last year the total exceeded 50 tonnes, at the same time we help people to reduce their shopping bills. Food is sourced from supermarkets, shops, wholesalers and charities (such as FareShare).
