A very exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the diverse and inclusive Gloucester City Midwifery team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHNHSFT).

Gloucester is on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds with lots of historical buildings such as the Cathedral and the docks with a designer outlet attached.

GHNHSF undertakes approximately 6,000 births a year providing a high level of maternity care for women, who require obstetric, neonatal or anaesthetic services.

We also have 3 fantastic Birthing Centres which provide midwifery led care for approximately 30% women a year. Midwives working within our Trust have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including the community, making full use of their skills to promote person centred care. Our midwifery-led care model is already well developed and providing choice and personalised care are well embedded principles.

We are looking to eventually extend our roll out of the continuity teams.
