Pertemps are recruiting for a workshop fitter for our client based in Wellingborough. The principal role of the workshop fitter is to repair, service and inspect plant and equipment prior to delivery and on return from hire. Typically the equipment will rangefrom well known manufacturers such as Takeuchi, JCB, Komatsu, Doosan, John Deere, New Holland, Terex, Hamm, Ammann and Indeco.
**As a workshop fitter you will be responsible for the following**:

- Repair and locate faults with equipment in-line with manufacturer recommendations and in a timely fashion to ensure downtime is minimised.
- Service equipment in-line with manufacturers recommendations.
- Carry out PUWER and LOLER Inspections on all equipment as required.
- Follow procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with the ISO9001 quality management system.
- Responsible for training and mentoring new apprentices.

**Key requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.
- Qualified in plant maintenance and repair to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- A full UK driving licence
- Dealership training
- Excellent communication and time management skills
