We are FARA. We have been around for over 30 years and have 40 Charity Shops across London. Our Kensington store is opening an exciting Book Cave, and we need a volunteer to come and help us with this. By volunteering you will be helping not only the work of the charity, but also creating a pleasant experience for our community of customers. You will also help us make sure the items FARA can’t sell, find the right home, maximising our contribution to a sustainable economy.

- Identifying valuable and collectible books
- Some lifting of books onto shelves
- Book displays

- Someone who is friendly, approachable and enthusiastic
- If you have worked with books before that is a bonus

**What’s in it for you?**

Our shops are run by welcoming, collaborative teams where everyone works together. You will gain experience volunteering with a team who support each other to develop, challenge and celebrate their contributions with FARA. Full training will be provided. We can provide a positive work experience and a safe space to learn and further your skills

**Your time**:
The opening hours of the shop are 10:00 - 18:00. We are looking for someone who has a few hours a week to spare volunteering with us. FARA will try to be as flexible as possible to allow you to volunteer when you are able.
