Paediatric Matron

This role is designed to appeal to a clinically focused band 6 or 7 paediatric nurse. Utilising your existing clinical skills as a firm foundation, you will be offered the support you need to develop into this wide-ranging role.
We are looking to appoint an experienced paediatric clinical lead nurse who can use their innovation, clinical competence, and enthusiasm to lead a recently refigured service within the outpatients setting. Supporting the delivery of clinics such as Asthma, Epilepsy, Diabetes and Bowel and Bladder. The service also supports specialist clinics from tertiary hospitals and nurse led testing in areas such as Endocrine and Allergy. This role will develop and lead on the Paediatric Day Surgery service and contribute to the development of clinical pathways.
There will be requirement to work collaboratively with the Children's Ward / Assessment Unit Matron to ensure cohesive and effective approach in leading the nursing teams with a focus on developing quality improvements with a commitment to ensuring the trust values are promoted and embedded within teams and practice.
