Reporting to the ARC Senior Programme Support Officer, the main tasks involve supporting the team to ensure the ARC strategy is managed successfully by providing comprehensive project co-ordination and administrative support, engaging and maintaining the involvement of stakeholders and themes across the ARC, supporting with our communications strategy, organising events, and maintaining cohesion within ARC regionally and nationally.

The National Institute for Health and Care Research Applied Research Collaboration (NIHR ARC) East of England is a collaboration between the host trust, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust, and the Universities of Cambridge, East Anglia, Hertfordshire and Essex in partnership with other health and social care organisations, industry and charities across the region. The aim of the ARC East of England is to support applied health and care research, implementation, and capacity building at a local, regional, national and international level.

**The role will include**: administrative support; organising events; working with ARC teams, research themes and partner organisations to support the delivery of the strategies and objectives of the ARC. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously and as part of a team. We operate a flexible approach with team members working both at home and at the Douglas House office based in Cambridge, therefore travel across the Eastern region will be required. Due to the predominantly working from home, the role requires self-motivation and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Reporting to an ARC Senior Programme Support Officer, the post holder will be an integral member of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration East of England (ARC EoE) programme and will be responsible for providing comprehensive project co-ordination and administrative support, to the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) East of England Core Team including the Director, Deputy Directors, Manager, Deputy and Senior Programme Support Officers.

**Main tasks, duties and responsibilities**:
1. Overall day to day co-ordination of projects to support the Core team.
3. To organise, lead and chair quarterly meetings providing knowledge from the ARC core and other operational support to administrative colleagues across the ARC in the Eastern region, through effective communication and proactive engagement.
4. To co-ordinate and manage the reporting of any health and safety or building matters. Organising and taking a lead role in regular meetings with CPFT and University colleagues to support the Business and Operations Manager in the effective management of the Douglas House building.
5. To proactively manage and maintain an up-to-date record of jobs reported and completed (including IT, procurement, maintenance, Health and Safety and all systems within the ARC and CPFT portfolio).
6. Responsible for incoming and outgoing communications including complex and sensitive information relevant to the core team and across the ARC.
7. Processing of all forms of correspondence, reports and summaries that are required by themes being supported by the ARC Core support team, working to ensure tight deadlines are met in a timely and accurate manner.
8. Undertake diary management for the core team as required liaising with the Senior Programme Support Officers to ensure the needs of the ARC are met.
9. Lead and organise events and associated workshops for the core team and themes across the Eastern region, using appropriate systems to manage the projects from the beginning to the end of the process.
10. Organise and attend ARC meetings across the Eastern region, both virtually and face to face.
11. Book venues, hotels, travel arrangements and hospitality where appropriate for face-to-face meetings and events, and effectively understand and use online platforms where meetings and events are virtual.
12. Proactively prepare and produce agendas, collate and distribute all necessary information and documentation, take minutes at executive-level meetings and action notes as required. Ensure minutes are issued in a
