**Purpose of the Role**:
On behalf of our client, AMS are currently recruiting for a number of **Technical Officers **to join our clients **Bristol site** based on an initial **12-month contract.**

Our clients Bristol Operations Centre is the focal point of service support for defence gas turbines operating globally. We provide engineering support and resolution to technical queries across a vast array of customers both internally and externally.

**Key accountabilities for the Technical Officer include**:

- Workflow administration for all cases through relevant processes and software tools in lock step with the Service Delivery team
- Ensure appropriate Service Desk KPIs and metrics are published to help support delivery performance of the wider team
- Constant communication with the service delivery leadership team to ensure each case is booked in, administered and assigned to a relevant engineer and formal communication with external stakeholders on case acceptance, rejection and/or approval

- Previous knowledge or experience of aerospace gas turbine products is very desirable but not essential
- Excellent written and verbal communicate skills essential
- Ability to read and understand (high level) technical issues, engineering queries and/or technical discussion to allow effective case administration
- Good customer and conflict management capabilities
- A broad understanding of aerospace engineering products
- Strong IT skills including MS office, Outlook and case management software
- Individual workload management skills essential
- Previous experience of working in a customer centric organisation
