Senior Support Worker

Senior Support Worker (Advanced) for 7 bed residential home for not-for-profit Cintre Charity working with people with Learning Disability and Mental Health.
Location: Clifton, Bristol
Public transport availability: Clifton Down train station (5 minutes walk), Bus numbers 1,2,3,4 (5-10 minutes walk to stops on Whiteladies Road)
Pay rate from £12.08 per hour, plus an enhanced rate over weekends.
Flexible rota hours tailored around people we support and our staff personal commitments.
Would you like to join a friendly team providing high quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have mental health needs within our Residential Service?
- Have proven experience in a Senior Support Worker (Advanced) role in supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health in Health or Social care sector or aspiring to become a Senior Support Worker.
- Be a role model to coach staff in supporting people with Learning Disabilities
- Be able to guide team members in person centred care delivery and support staff to manage behaviour that challenge.
- Be responsive and proactive in supporting residents with the daily tasks, social activities, personal care.
- Be a key worker for residents
- Be a good record keeper and educate new staff in accurate and person centred record keeping
- Have good communication skills, be positive and patient
- Create solutions to overcome challenges and have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Be IT literate with paying attention to details
- A full driving licence would be advantageous but not essential.
