Associate Director of Informatics

The NCA Informatics and Digital team is undertaking an ambitious and complex programme to bring together infrastructure, data and operational support services from three legacy organisations to create a single Informatics & Digital Service for the NCA. We are seeking an interim Associate Director of Informatics to lead our data and intelligence services, designing a target operating model to support the needs of the organisation for the future.
The Associate Director of Informatics primary responsibility is the provision of an organisation-wide Business Intelligence service, encompassing data visualisation and data warehousing functions. In addition, the role also provides analytical services through a team of Information Business Partners and associated analysts to support Care Organisations, organisation-wide services, and the executive team.
The Associate Director of Informatics is also responsible for a number of statutory information requirements, including statutory returns and performance reporting as well as the provision of clinical coding to support improvements in patient care and secure income for the organisation. The role will also focus on data governance, ensuring data standards are met and data quality is prioritised.
The post-holder will also lead a review of the current configuration of these services within the Informatics portfolio and co-design a target operating model to support the strategic direction of the organisation going forward.
The newly created Informatics & Digital service brings together teams from across the digital, data and technology professions. As part of the Informatics & Digital senior leadership team, you will help shape our digital and data strategies, providing data and digital tools to support our health and care services.
