- Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) are supporting various UK water companies to deliver a range of vital projects as part of our on-going design and build frameworks. In particular, our hydraulic modelling team are providing inputs to reduce the risk of spill to the environment from storm overflows.- Our busy and growing team are looking for a talented individual to support us on our current and upcoming projects as a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller in Durham, based at Northumbrian Water Groups co-located offices.- This role is a key part of the water team and you will be working on exciting and diverse projects throughout the North East and the rest of the UK. As a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller you will be responsible for the following:
- Support on hydraulic modelling studies, Sewerage Management Planning, Network Modelling as well as other projects requiring detailed technical analysis / asset management
- Searching for and organising data and information;
- Data analysis, visualisation and programming (eg. FME, Power BI)
- Feasibility studies/options development: Asset Performance Assessments/Reviews, Report preparation/drawings, scheduling of work for sub-contractors and third-party survey teams, and liaison during the projects.
- Provide technical capability on wastewater projects as part of a project team
- Assist the Project Manager in the management/co-ordination of projects
- Contributing to technical reports and presentations;
- Supporting the development of proposals for new projects.
- An interest in developing a career in Urban Drainage modelling/Asset management is a requirement of this role, to gain a full understanding of new projects and different clients, which will provide fresh experiences and support your development.What you can offer:
