**Junior Supply Chain Assistant**
**Location: Barking**
**Salary: Competitive Salary**
**Shift: Sunday to Thursday 10am-6:30pm**
(A flexible approach to hours will be required as there may be occasion when it is necessary to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and engagement activities.)
Due to our continued growth, to assist in the smooth running of Supply Chain, working across multiple departments, Goods In, Transport and Dispatch. In this role you will learn & develop across all departments, following daily procedures, completing, and updating relevant documentation to ensure full compliance across all areas.
At Davin Foods we supply the top five* hotels in London and the Home Counties, Event Caterers, and we are a key supplier to the Sports and Leisure industry supplying to major sporting events and stadiums, with freshly prepared fruit & vegetables.
**Accountabilities**:
- Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the Supply Chain department.
- Assist in monitoring and minimising specific areas of waste, whilst maximising productivity and service, ensuring product availability is always maintained.
- Ensure all raw materials are sourced through an approved supply chain.
- Provide long and short-term reports to identify at risk materials and link to specific SKUs.
- To manage and maintain stock levels of raw product.
- Liaise with departments around the business to ensure communication with regards to inbound supply is consistent.
- Robust & accurate maintenance of departmental databases and trackers including supplier recharges and any out of contract purchasing.
- Cross-checking Invoices against Purchase Orders, ensuring all information correct before payment is made.
- Produce evening Purchasing List from days sales orders and inputting onto Excel spreadsheets.
- Construct and present analytical data relating to the purchasing function.
- Assisting in the planning of driver routes.
- Action and recovery of any shortages, including resolution.
- Occasional Driving of company vehicle / forklift when required.
- Always adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other administrative duties consistent with position, as occasionally required by line manager.
- GCSES including English Language and Maths with grade C or above.
- Clean Driving Licence
- Desirably has experience in a similar field.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines, with a prominent level of accuracy.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
