Assistant Buyer – Barking – Social Housing
I am currently representing an award-winning Social Housing contractor who is looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer to be based in Barking. They specialise in External and Structural works, Kitchen and bathroom replacements, Window and Door replacements, Mechanical and Electrical works and more.
Duties:
* Negotiating price, tender analysis and preparing the tender pack.
* Participate in the implementation of the Materials procurement strategy and develop the regional supply chain to suit the business demand.
* Providing market competitive and innovative procurement solutions for the trade which demonstrate best overall value for money.
* Procuring materials within budgets on time to progress works on site.
* Producing monthly budgetary control reports on all materials purchased for each site.
* Identifying potential new suppliers
* Monitoring supply chain and upgrading suppliers to preferred status when necessary.
* Resolving disputes and account queries between suppliers and the company.
