We are looking for a Specialist Practitioner to join the Early intervention Service at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.

The Early Intervention Service is an established team providing care for service users experiencing their First Episode of Psychosis in the first three years of their illness. As a Specialist Practitioner you will be working across the county of Dorset in urban and rural settings.

The Early Intervention Service is a forward-thinking service that provides strong psychological formulations for service users and has the support of a Multidiscipline team. You will be joining an experienced team that is supportive and proactive as well as compassionate towards service users experiencing psychosis for the first time.

As a Specialist Practitioner you will be providing care coordination and psychosocial interventions for service users on your caseload. Training can be offered within the service and there are established and supportive supervision arrangements in place.

The service is located at Hillcrest in Ensbury Park, Bournemouth and driving is essential. This post is a full-time post however the service can be flexible and would consider 30 hours as a minimum, working Monday to Friday

To deliver in the provision of specialist interventions i.e., Family Interventions or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis CBTp (according to skills)
To work in a socially inclusive way and in line with the recovery model.

To promote the needs of carers, complete carer’s assessments and care plans and support local Carer/User Groups. Administration of medication, ensuring compliance with nursing responsibilities under the Medicines Act (1971), the local care of Drugs policy and other relevant Trust clinical procedures (according to clinical registration). To participate in the Team Duty Worker and Initial Assessment rota.
