Accounts Receivable Clerk/accounts Assistant

**About the role**
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Account assistant/ sales ledger assistant who will be reporting to the Sales ledger Manager. This role will be the primary owner of the day-to-day processing of sales invoices and Credit Control. The Account Assistant/ Sales Ledger Assistant will be the go-to person for queries from customers and various internal customer-facing teams. The role provides an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing tech company in the radiotherapy industry.
**Key Responsibilities will include**:
- Transactional processing of sales invoices for capital goods, service contracts and other income-based invoices.
- Ownership of the Credit Control function which involves the management of aged Debtors and resolving any disputes with customers.
- Posting and allocating cash to the correct customer accounts and contracts
- First point of contact to manage inbound customer queries.
- Tracking the invoicing terms for orders and ensuring
- Good understanding of the equipment and Service contracts with customers
- Liaising with the Production Team for updates on the current and future (forecast) shipments
- Ensuring that the sales ledger accounts are up-to-date and accurate
- Driving and monitoring Service contracts and their corresponding Purchase Orders’ renewals and ensuring the invoices are raised on time
- Involvement in other areas of the finance dept and any ad-hoc tasks when needed
- Provide support to the Financial Reporting Accountant when needed
**Essential Skills & Experience**:
- 2 to 3 years experience working in Finance.
- Exposure to foreign entities
- Experience in using a mid-large-sized ERP system
- Good understanding of double-entry book-keeping
- Strong analytical skills,with high attention to detail
- Able to work independently and take the initiative in solving problems
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
- Able to work to strict deadlines
- Excel skills in basic formulas
- Strong communication and a team player
- Honest and reliable
**Desirable skills & experience**:
- Experience using Sage 200
- Experience using Paperless
- Experience using WebExpenses
- Studying towards an accounting qualification at Technician level (AAT)
- Excel skills intermediate to advanced formula and pivot table level
