**The role**

**Responsibilities**
- Along with the department BAA, managing and updating the critical path for the department and feeding back to the Buyer in weekly critical path/intake meetings.
- Assist Buyer with all initial development & cost price enquiries and support negotiations of cost prices to ensure margins are achieved with best product delivery.
- Attend fit sessions to support Buyer
- Maintaining good supplier relationships
- Sample management by supporting organisation of samples with BAA
- Assist in supervision and training of the BAA, along with Buyer
- Monitor competitors and completing regular comp shops to identify areas of opportunity
- Organise product for and attend sign off meetings and lessons learnt
- Attend weekly department trade meetings, preparing product and information for weekly trade
- Liaise with and provide detailed information for the eCommerce team to ensure imagery and copy is accurate
- Assisting with completion of monthly VM guidelines and quarterly lookbooks, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
- Managing lab dip approvals to ensure standards are met and comments are sent in a timely manner
- Supporting BAA with admin where necessary
- Liaising with the other Buying and Merchandising teams and wider Brand functions, particularly Ecommerce and Marketing
- Liaise with other buying teams and ensure full co-operation and clear communication is maintained
- Dealing with any supplier queries to ensure shipment dates are met and availability is maximised
- Opportunity to take ownership for a category once established

**What are we looking for from you?**

Previous experience working in fashion Buying at Assistant Buyer level, with Previous experience of own brand product sourcing & development and a passion for product
- Being able to manage your workload effectively and can be trusted to make actions without being prompted.
- Ability to support in acting as a role model for junior team members.
- You’re a keen learner and always push yourself, as well as being adaptable to change and the business’ needs.
- Excellent trend and competitor knowledge
- Great organisation, strong accuracy and attention to detail
- A solid understanding of the Design & Buying/Merchandising product cycle
- Strong and confident communication and interpersonal skills
- A mature mindset and passion to progress
- Good understanding of customer profile, product range & competitors. As well as a passion about the customer and all elements of the customer experience
- Knowledge and experience of costings

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
