**Summary of Post**:
The Centre Coordinator will be based at Stockingford Community Centre and will be responsible for its overall operation, ensuring that it continues to operate a quality facility and services, and operates within the guidelines and agreed budget as set down by the Committee. A flexible approach to working hours is necessary.

**Purpose of the job**:
To carry out administrative functions (including financial recording and reporting) which are necessary for SCC to function.

**Range of Duties**:
**Operational Management of the Centre**
1) To take room bookings including payments and the issuing of receipts and to ensure that an accurate online lettings diary is maintained.
2) To ensure that the arrangements are made for the opening and closing and preparation of the Centre before and after lettings and the Centre is clean, well maintained and any damage is reported to the Committee.
3) To deal with day to day building and maintenance issues.
4) To ensure appropriate support is given to all current user groups at the Centre.
5) To help plan and coordinate meetings and events as necessary.
6) To ensure all relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures are complied with and relevant documentation is maintained.
7) To help recruit and train volunteers.
8) To comply with all adopted policies of SCC.
9) To support in-house projects and to work with Centre Volunteers to support their activities.
10) To supervise any cleaning staff.

**Financial Support**
1) To record all payments and receipts.
2) To ensure that any staff are paid monthly, and that all employment related legislation is complied with.
3) To purchase consumables for the Centre within agreed limits.
4) To assist the Committee in setting budgets and to ensure best practice in all financial matters.
5) To report to the Committee on a regular basis with details of usage, income and expenditure.
6) To prepare for end of year accounts.

**Administration**
1) To organise and store paperwork, documents and computer-based information.
2) To order and maintain stationery and other supplies.
3) To ensure that all the necessary administration and communication is carried out efficiently and accurately and the relevant records are maintained.
4) To ensure that existing programmes and services managed by the Centre are evaluated and monitored in accordance with the Committee and funder requirements.

**Community**
1) To take every opportunity of publicising SCC’s activities and facilities through printed material and on-line.
2) To seek to ensure the Centre meets the needs of the whole community wherever possible.
3) Where time allows, to identify community issues and needs and to assist with developing community-based programmes and resources, and encourage participation in activities.
4) Where time allows, to develop partnerships with other Community organisations.

**Additional Duties**
Undertake additional duties as and when required.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Essential**
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Enthusiasm and commitment
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Canva
- Experience of basic financial processes or an interest and ability to learn

**Desirable**
- Creative ideas about raising funds for the Community Centre
- Knowledge and experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers
- Experience of running a small operation

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £20,280.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 per week
