**About us**

Factfirm LTD, a small business in Frome, is seeking a professional HGV driver to join our team. As a professional HGV driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods to our valued customers.

**Requirements**:

- Experience: Professional driving experience
- Qualification: Must hold an MPQC Card

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate and drive heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in compliance with traffic regulations and company policies.
- Transport goods and materials from one location to another, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Conduct 10 minute inspections of the HGV to ensure its roadworthiness, including checking the tires, brakes, lights, and other essential components.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, delivery receipts, and any other required documentation.
- Follow established routes and schedules while also making necessary adjustments due to traffic, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Monitor and report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the HGV, both inside the cabin and externally.

Daily Duties:

- Perform 10 minute inspections to ensure the HGV is in proper working condition and report any concerns or issues.
- Plan routes and schedules based on delivery requirements and optimize efficiency.
- Drive the HGV to the designated destinations, adhering to traffic rules and regulations.
- Unload at the delivery location and obtain necessary signatures or documentation to confirm delivery.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including recording any discrepancies or damages observed during transportation.
- Maintain regular communication with dispatchers, providing updates on delivery progress, delays, or any issues encountered.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding vehicle maintenance, fueling, and general care.
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements related to the transportation of goods, such as weight restrictions, tachograph regulations, and working time directives.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses to the appropriate authorities and company representatives as per company policy.

Schedule:

- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday availability required
- Weekend availability also necessary
