We are seeking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer to work within Middlesbrough’s Access to Education team.

You will take the lead in ensuring that your allocated schools are fully supported to help improve attendance and ensure that children are at school every day, on time and ready to learn.

You will work with a range of stakeholders to provide a comprehensive service and seek out new and innovative ways to improve attendance. You will link with schools’ existing attendance teams and provide additionally, support and advice. This role will involve supporting staff in schools, ensuring all statutory educational requirements are fulfilled and liaising closely with schools and other interested parties.

If you can demonstrate a successful track record of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, you might be the right person for this role.
