Sustainability Controller

**_ The opportunity:_**

An excellent opportunity to join the Leonardo Finance team as it builds it’s capability to support the growth in requirements around ESG and Sustainability. The role will help frame the Governance and Reporting requirements for Sustainability (ESG) in it’s UK business. This will work alongside Functional and Divisional teams across Leonardo to build an aligned framework and the use of common tools.

In addition, it will be critical in aligning future investment to balance Financial and ESG impacts and help build the case for Sustainability ROI. The role will support projects across the business and help spread the knowledge of ESG best practice.

Support will also be required to ensure robust ESG management information is available for scenario planning and decision making, in parallel ensuring adherence to reporting into Corporate teams.

**_ What you’ll do as a Sustainability Controller_**
- Assist in the production of Sustainability & ESG KPI’s to meet Corporate requirements. Develop KPI reporting in the UK to influence UK & Divisional action taking on ESG related topics.
- Ensuring adequate controls are in place to ensure the integrity of non-financial Sustainability and ESG data, including the development and implementation of an audit and assurance roadmap
- Build and implement a model for Sustainability Return on Investment and integrate into the wider Leonardo UK investment processes.
- Ensure ESG considerations are built into financial modelling, modelling the financial impacts of sustainability risks & opportunities, as well as the impact of investments on our sustainability targets.
- Support the development of internal processes to plan for and track sustainability investments across the UK.
- Share best practice between UK sites with opportunities to develop.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting & non-financial disclosures. Provide support for effective business governance and compliance with International Standards, LDO Directives and LDO Finance Policies.
- Other projects as assigned

- A passion and commitment to the wider adoption of ESG goals within an organisation.
- Good communicator with the ability & enthusiasm to work across all levels of the organisation.
- Proactive and challenging, able to work in complex business scenarios.
- Accurate, timely and prepared to go the extra mile to get results with a proven track record in delivery
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or "qualified by experience".
- Experience of Sustainability (ESG) reporting/auditing is preferred
